Asterix The Power of Gods is a game for Windows right out from the classic 1995 SEGA game. Based on one of the adventures of the popular Asterix and Obelix comics, players will choose either one of the characters and run their way through different levels in a RPG type game on a quest to find the legendary shield of Vercingetorix.

In this adventure Asterix and Obelix travel to many places of the Roman Empire making their way through different countries like Egypt and India. While moving on every level the players will have to face many different enemies, some of which can kill the character instantly (this is a downside of the game) and others will just wear down the health bar. Asterix and Obelix will collect items and objects to defend themselves from these enemies and, eventually, after reaching the end of a stage, players will find themselves chatting with a well-known comics character.

For a game of the 90’s the graphics are really nice; the characters are kept the same as the original comics; the animation is really detailed; the sound effects are pretty realistic and the soundtrack is very pleasant classical music. Recommended for new players, and worth playing again.
